Bridging the Skill Gap: Flipkart SCOA Partners with NCVET to Standardize Logistics Training

Flipkart Supply Chain Operations Academy (SCOA) signed an agreement with the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), to build nationally recognised, industry-led skilling pathways for India’s e-commerce and logistics workforce. This initiative aligns with the Skill India Mission and aims to formalise training, assessment, and certification aligned with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
The collaboration marks a significant milestone as Flipkart became the first e-commerce company in India to be recognised as an NCVET Awarding Body (Dual), offering standardised, portable credentials that enhance job readiness across the sector.

West Bengal – Paschim Banga Society For Skill Development (PBSSD)

The Government of West Bengal is committed towards large-scale skill development for its youth population to improve the scope of gainful employment and entrepreneurial opportunities under the WBSDM (West Bengal Skill Development Mission). All short-term skill development training is being offered by PBSSD (Paschim Banga Society for Skill Development), Government of West Bengal.
Empowering Youth: Flipkart SCOA and ITI Kalyani Launch First-of-its-Kind Centre of Excellence

The Flipkart Supply Chain Operations Academy (SCOA) has partnered with ITI Kalyani to establish a landmark Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the institute’s premises in West Bengal. This initiative marks a historic first-ever collaboration between Flipkart and a reputable Industrial Training Institute (ITI) to build a dedicated, practical training lab and modern classroom infrastructure.
The primary objective of this partnership is to bridge the critical skill gap in India’s logistics sector by cultivating a pool of job-ready professionals. Through tailor-made training programs, the CoE will equip local students and unemployed youth with the specialized knowledge and hands-on skills needed to excel in the fast-growing supply chain industry. As a pioneering community initiative, the SCOA Centre of Excellence is set to create lasting, positive economic opportunities across the region.
Bihar – Bihar Skill Development Mission (BSDM)

Bihar Skill Development Mission (BSDM) has been constituted by The Government of Bihar to empower the youth by providing them with requisite skills to fuel the growth of the state of Bihar. The primary roles of BSDM are to establish a wide network of training centers for the youth and provide employment opportunities to them.
KA – Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC)

Set up in 2008, the Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC), under the aegis of the Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood (SDEL) Department, Government of Karnataka, provides short-term vocational training to more than 60,000 candidates annually under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and the state’s flagship scheme for skill development – the Chief Minister’s Kaushalya Karnataka Yojane (CMKKY). Through its network of more than 800 accredited training centers spread across the state, KSDC provides skill training in multiple sectors, including automotive, IT&ITeS, logistics, apparel, and electronics, to name a few.
